I’ve had various roles within mental health and well-being services, including the NHS , non -to-profit organisations, bereavement services, residential treatment centres and schools. Within these roles, I have offered different therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, the twelve step recovery programme and couples counselling.
I now work with individuals and couples, in private practice. I practice open ended psychotherapy. I aim to create a supportive, calm and professional environment, in which you can feel at ease to bring and unpack what it is that you might be going through. Together, we can address your presenting issues, increase your clarity and develop your self awareness. I have seen how this process can contribute to people feeling empowered , finding one’s own solutions and steps forward.
I work with couples that are experiencing communication breakdown, find it difficulty to compromise or negotiate and who lack a sense of intimacy. I am particularly interested in supporting couples develop an empathic, clear way of communicating as well as exploring what could bring more connectivity and meaning to the relationship.
Counselling is a talking therapy that can help with a range of mental and emotional problems, including stress, anxiety & depression, work related issues and much more.
I can provide you with a confidential and supportive space where you can express issues that you might not feel comfortable doing so anywhere else.
Counselling aims to help deal with and overcome issues that are causing emotional pain or making you feel uncomfortable.
A safe and regular space for you to talk and explore difficult feelings.
